Forbidden Planet's C-57D Ver.2 1/350th

This is an improvement of a model I made earlier of the flying saucer C-57D from the classic movie Forbidden Planet. It is often said that launched Science Fiction movies from "B" reels into mainstream blockbusters as well as inspiring other classics like Star Trek and Star Wars. For this version I have re-scaled it to about 1/350th scale (about 147mm across), added some more detail like the landing leg doors, optional landing stalk and stairs, and created both a stand and landing diorama. There has been some problems with shrinkage and warping of the parts on the old version so I shrank the whole thing so the main hull could be printed in one go in a 6x6x6 printer and split the ship into 3 parts. It means a long print and a lot of support material but it should come out a lot better. I whipped up a display stand with the C57-D's logo that should work well and I also created a moonscape diorama with the landing stalk and stairs built in, you should be able to just set the ship on top of the stalk for display. I have also made the stairs and a landing stalk separate in case you want to do something custom. *Update: I have added a part that can be printed 3 times to make the main hull, it seems to print better and faster.
