This replica is a precise duplicate of the laser rifle from the 1956 MGM film "Forbidden Planet." The trigger and lights were recreated using the following components. I sourced the battery holder with an on/off switch from Aliexpress, which can be found at https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1PCS-9V-Battery-Holder-with-ON-OFF-Switch-9-volt-Box/32325957199.html. The 2-pin latching switches used for the trigger were obtained in a pack of ten from the same website, located at https://www.aliexpress.com/item/10pcs-PBS-11A-2PIN-Plastic-12mm-Push-Button-Latching-Switch-Self-Lock-3A-150V-Red-green/32787813624.html. For the lights, I used a pack of twenty pre-wired resistors from Aliexpress, which can be found at https://www.aliexpress.com/item/20pcs-5MM-Round-Top-12V-Pre-Wired-Resistor-Purple-UV-LED-Emitting-Diode-12V-DC-20cm/32586358628.html. The diffuser parts were printed in vase mode.
