3018 2.5w output cutting out spool time lapse :https://youtu.be/tg354V1lGHoI got tired of my factory original plastic (ABS ) spools deforming while I am drying out the PC or TPE filament, cardboard is superior as far as heat tolerance, use hot glue for hot guns only, no dual or cold temp, they witll melt why drying, dont use wood glue , super glue, eitther , just hot temp glue sticks or epoxy rated for 100C or so.500-750gm spools are the best size, I load up with 250gm of 75A TPE and the printer can pull from the spool without stretching, 1kg spool of 83A or softer need to be broken down to these smaller spools, I also fill these from 3kg spools. good for Super hygroscopic filament, you want to weigh out what you need and roll onto these spools or mini spool. and put a bag over or dry box. my 3018 y maxes out at 180mm, so I couldnt print the proper size 200mm diameterI used 180mmx40mm and 50mm ID hole cut from some cardboard tube I had. if you dont have 50mm cylinder , use the rectangle file to make a cylinder and use the waste 50mm circles as a object to help form the cylinders.
