In my case, the adapter 2x 18V battery to 36V battery no longer fit in the battery bay of the 36V chainsaw, because the two 18V battery hit the side of the chainsaw. To increase the distance I constructed this gray intermediate ring. It fits so quite well. You could still add dimples to both contact surfaces, for a better fit. 4 pieces M3 x 60mm are needed In my case, the adapter 2x 18V battery to 36V battery no longer fit in the battery slot of the 36V chainsaw because the two 18V batteries bumped into the side of the chainsaw.
