DescriptionHey all! This is a collection of 7 filters and a master mixer (all built as nodegroups), that will allow you to incorporate these into your shots! All you do is append the one you want or the master mixer, which contains the lot. All of these are fully compatible with Eevee as well - I just developed them in Cycles, because of the preceding product - Motion Smear. Setup tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wddvwqGnRU The filters are Linear Lines Follow the sketchy style, but is all linear - the same direction. You can rotate it too and the effect is nothing short of incredible! Sketch Line texture scale Distortion texture (scale and influence) to make sure every frame is unique Dissolve effect to transition from full sketch to white - actual dissolve, not fade to white. Line Angle to make sure it fits the angle you need Masked excludes other objects for focus, but if set to whole, you can enjoy some additional environment details for extra detail or story! Centralized Lines More typical anime impact frame, this one starts from a single point on-screen. Don't be afraid to adjust your image contrast for varied degrees of brightness - these effects are quite versatile! You can animate the origin and I included a special aim output to the node to help you do just that! Has a distortion texture to make each frame as unique as a sketch. Dissolves the sketch lines into white - not just fading to white. Has an aim feature to animate and target your point of impact with precision. Adds additional spikes for more impact on masked option. Options to scale both the image noise- and the spike noise textures. A slider to reduce spike influence. Masked VS whole image option to allow you isolation of objects or to include your environment. Inversion Common photo negative, with some additional controls, like value above 1, to make your contrast higher, for example. Inversion is slider based, so you can transition between the original and the inversion effect specifically A value (Brightness) slider to boost the image for more explosive scenarios - can also darken. White Background Glow A staple of slow motion shots, the white background with the glow, can also make for a wonderful flash frame or set of impact frames themselves - a personal fav! Glow size for that surreal memory feel. You can drastically reduce it or even turn it off this way if desired. Softness factor let's you interpret the node for your specific scene more A slider between the original image and the final result allows much more animation and transition control for you to move your character from one environment, into a surreal one, for example. BONUS! Basic outline group node with custom color control - normals based. Darkened Background This usually precedes the main impact frames, so it had to be included. Sometimes, in action, you want to set the focus on the action taking place, like a punch, shot fired or whatever, and then you want all to go quiet visually, and that's where this comes in! Darkens the background outside of the mask with a slider, for more control A softness factor adds more surreal options Blur size adds extra control to the softness factor for just the right mood BONUS - Generated outlines nodegroup Flash Frame This is what I would call a transitional impact frame. Sometimes when you go from image to impact frame, the transition can feel a bit too harsh, quick or jarring, especailly at higher frame rates, but this transitional frame filter should cover that bridge. I recommend preceding or following it with a fully white frame. As simple as they come! The only options for editing here are inside the nodegroup - I only recommend messing with the normals to get the right angle. Normal Rotation One of my personal favs, this one is trippy. Inspired by many flashing impact frames, this one has a wobble and linear option. Sometimes you want direction to play a part in your impact frames - you usually do, lol, and this one's linear feature facilitates that (again, you can rotate it) and the wobble texture let's you hit water or something else that's of a different substance than hard surfaces, and still make a great impact. Two background modes - Linear and Wobbles (linear is for motion and wobbles refers more to environment) Background rotation orients the linear lines background No image input, this is solely based on normals and generates outlines for the result too. Rotates left to right and bottom to top with a fade to reduce flickering a bit. I've taken the liberty to upload them separately and compile all the blend files into a zip, for convenience as well. The Master Mixer The mixer allows you to set up your frames the way you want them - inside - and then you can animate the factors between them as your sequence runs. It just makes it easier to animate than setting up a bunch of mix nodes yourself. I do recommend that you only have 1 factor active at a time - this may have an affect on render speed. Demo Scene: A simple scene with suzanne in that you can use to practice putting the nodes into. Feel free to animate it in creative ways! These are fully compatible with Eevee, so have fun! BONUS! Colored outlines - normal based - and the color is generated with the image itself! CAUTION: Be aware that these kinds of effects (especially the normal rotation one) can have an influence on people with photosensitive epilepsy. Be aware of that and follow your country's recommendations (if they have any), in warning your audience! :Dillustrationcreativityisolatedartabstractwhiteinversioncentralizednormalrotationflashdarkenedbackgroundglowlinearfilterscriptspluginsscripts pluginsrendering
