Footswitch for MIDI pedals
thingiverse
Experience a satisfying "clicky" feel from this footswitch; its lever is securely held in place by strong magnets (15 x 2.5mm, 18N) before requiring considerable force to activate. Upon release, the lever swiftly returns to its upper position without needing a spring. To optically detect switch status, use an IR-LED/IR-phototransistor combo with emitter grounded and collector connected to Arduino pin with internal pull-up. Alternatively, consider a hall effect sensor in the base for velocity/aftertouch detection. For silence, apply felt pads on both sides of the lever, and mount up to four switches inside a wooden case lined with felt.
