Footprints in the Sand
thingiverse
Fun print… Attach this fake footprint to your flip flops or your sandals (preferably with a flat sole) and make people believe that you walk "backwards" on the beach! Or use them to make perfect footprints without getting your feet sandy.. Printed at 100% with Z=80%, nozzle 0.4mm - layer height 0.28 - infill 15%. By mirroring you can print a right version of the footprint. Attaching to the sole of your flip flops or sandals can be done with Velcro tape/pads or with double sided tape. The little cut-outs are made to make the sole more flexible (see images). Because I used pads, I made crossmarks to positioning them. You can use them as alignment for whatever way you attach them. Scale as large as needed. The base model is approx 238mm => size 3 ½ (US-women). Below is a chart to help you determine the scale you need. I attached the print to a size 38 (EUR) sandal. Tip: To shorten the printing time, you can reduce the height. However, do not go below approx. 9-10mm of total height in order to obtain correct operation of the flexible part! Use this extra "soles" solely in the sand... For reference: Shoe Size Chart (print the Footprints ± 3-5% smaller)
