Footed Parametric Frame Vertex
thingiverse
This Mendel vertex part, available in SCAD file, has an optional foot feature; the default file includes one. The holes are slightly oversized for successful printing. These vertices with feet prevent Z gears and drive from hitting tables or objects under the Mendel. For a Mendel build, print four footed and two footless versions, placing them on triangular sides with feet downwards and footless vertex at the top of each triangle. Protect valuable surfaces by adding felt, foam feet or draught excluder tape to the underside of the feet for reduced vibrations and noise. While footed vertices may be used on the top frame, it is considered visually unappealing.
