Football Kicking Tee

In honor of next week's Super Bowl (and my team making the cut), I'm excited to share this awesome kicking tee that my son and I designed and built about two months ago. From concept to creation, we went from idea, to model, to a non-functional prototype, to a redesigned and printed working model in just under two hours - it was an incredible experience thanks to rapid prototyping. This versatile kicking tee folds up flat so it can easily be stowed away in a backpack, while its legs snap into place in a sturdy 60-degree equilateral triangle and the arm locks securely at a right angle of 90 degrees. We constructed ours using 1/2-inch schedule 40 PVC from our home supply stash, but you can adjust the parameters in the attached SCAD file to accommodate your available materials.
