Rehabbing an abused tripod is a great way to breathe new life into it. One of the rubber foot pads on my Xit XT72TRB tripod was missing from its ball joint, so I decided to create a replacement using PETG. This material should work well with any flex in it, and I found that PLA didn't meet my requirements. Print Settings Printer: ANet A8 is my go-to printer for this project. Rafts: No rafts were used on this print. Supports: I opted out of using supports to keep the design clean. Resolution: 0.2mm was chosen as the ideal resolution for this print. Infill: 50% infill was selected to achieve a perfect balance between strength and weight. Notes PETG or ABS would be excellent choices for this project, as they provide a great combination of flexibility and durability.
