Foot for Apple IIe

Foot for Apple IIe

If you happen to own an Apple IIe computer -- and everyone should have at least one of these classic machines -- then there is a 50/50 chance that the original feet have turned to sticky, yucky, mush. This is the same size and shape as the original foot, but it has been augmented somewhat by the incorporation of 9 air pockets within the foot. This was done to allow the use of the less-expensive grades of "flexible" resin. The air pockets and air channels within this foot provide more squish and, happily, also use less resin. The 1mm holes that are scattered around the foot allow for the resin to drain from the air pockets after it is printed. When you are done printing it, I recommend washing it very well, to prevent resin/alcohol juice from leaking out and causing the foot to look less professional. We do not want that, no. Wash it well, a final wash with clean alcohol does the trick. After washing, I also blew them (I was printing 4 up) with an air hose, to make it nice and dry before curing.
