The is a nice filament 'outlet' from a food dehydrator. This allows a neat connection to a PC4-M10 fitting to connect a PTFE bowden tube. The modifications required to the food dehydrator are: - Cut out the middle grid from 2 of the trays, so you are left with tray rings. - On one of these notch out a 25x13mm section from the top part of the ring (see photos). - Now stack as follows (top to bottom): - Lid - Tray ring - mesh cut-out - Tray ring - notched with this 3D printed adaptor installed - Tray ring - unmodified (filament spool will sit on this) - Food dehydrator base - You will have 2 trays leftover as spares :) The food dehydrator I use: - Devanti 5 tray - Model: FD-BT5-1142-BK - Outer tray diameter: 240mm For full step-by-step instructions, see my blog post: https://dariancabot.com/2020/11/01/diy-3d-printing-filament-dryer/
