This clear acrylic food box has a gummy silicone lid, available from The Container Store with item number 10060604. It measures 2-5/8" x 4-1/4" x 1-3/4" h. The bottom isn't a perfect window surface but allows interaction between the Adafruit 1.8" TFT shield and tool operator. There is a dot from injection and raised lettering offset to one side, where a joystick button was added. The acrylic box could be machined on a vertical milling machine with a 3000 rpm shaft speed, using a small 3/32" 4 flute endmill for cutting, at a shallow depth of 0.004". The acrylic came off like powder without clogging the tool or cracking the box. Holes were opened up to 12mm with a unibit and then slotted with a 1/4" endmill, both at 3000 rpm and cautious feed rates.
