Some 3D software assumes textures are stored in fixed locations, specified within the model file itself, yet due to variations in computing hardware, these models might be misinterpreted as having missing textures, resulting in display as gray or black without visible material. However, certain other programs possess the capability to automatically scan the same folder for matching texture maps. In scenarios where certain textures fail to import properly into 3D host software, manual navigation of extracted .zip or .rar archives is sometimes necessary, requiring placement of relevant texture maps within the model's original directory.
