Fondue Lance, Monster Hunter Generations

This is a model of the fondue lance and accompanying cheese shield from Monster Hunter Generations, created with a 3D printer barely breaking the 30-day mark since its acquisition. As a beginner, this model was entirely designed in Tinkercad using built-in shapes only, no external shape generators were utilized. The lance and shield dimensions were carefully measured to match perfectly with a 1/7 scale plastic figure or possibly smaller adult cats as well. The lance consists of six distinct parts: the handle, connecting bar, metal guard, cheese tower, fork, and cheese wedge added on top. The connecting bar unites the handle and metal guard, while the metal guard features a triangular prism atop, linking to the cheese tower. The top of the cheese tower boasts a hole for the fork insertion, and the cheese wedge sports holes accommodating the fork. Each hole and connector was carefully crafted with a .2mm tolerance in every dimension, ensuring pieces generally fit about 15mm inside their respective holes. To prevent confusion during assembly, each part was designed slightly unique, similar to small figures from gachapon machines. This model was printed without supports, but an 8mm brim was applied on all parts, with 20% infill using triangles. The lance components required approximately 8-9 hours to print at the Maker Select Plus's recommended highest quality settings. The shield also necessitated no supports and was printed with an 8mm brim, 20% infill using triangles, showcasing a simpler design compared to the actual cheese shield. A wedge slice was omitted from its original size, but it was thought that 1/12 of the cheese would appear appealing speared on top of the lance fork. The shield took roughly 12 hours to print at the Maker Select Plus's highest quality settings. Thanks for taking a look!
