This is a module 0.8 gear ring designed specifically to fit Canon EF 24-105mm 1:4 L IS USM lenses, intended for use with a follow focus system. Its thin profile allows it to slip under the reversed lens hood effortlessly. The ring features 120 inner teeth that fit precisely into the focus ring of the lens, eliminating any slack. The inner gear is beveled on one side, facilitating smooth insertion onto the focus ring. To install the ring, slide it onto the lens from the bottom - the camera side. This orientation allows the ring to fit snugly over the AF/MF and stabilizer toggles, which are slightly recessed on the lens. Unlike other solutions that require clamps or brackets, this module enables full 360-degree rotation of the focus ring. Printer Settings: Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2 Supports: No Resolution: .06 mm Notes: When printing with an Ultimaker 2, the gear ring fits perfectly onto the lens. However, achieving this required multiple iterations of fine-tuning on my part. A diameter that is .25mm smaller than optimal would prevent the ring from slipping over the focus ring entirely, while a diameter that is .25mm larger would cause it to slide off too easily. Be prepared for several rounds of fine-tuning when printing this gear ring on your own printer, as its dimensions may require adjustment to fit your specific lens.
