After several hours of working with a linear actuated dial indicator on a sweep arm, I discovered the rear bearing mounting position was not as rigid as required for accurate return to home position. This revised version -completely new files and design- mounts directly to the lead screw nut. This eliminates any movement of the print deck -that annoying Melamine thing- you would have on a stock FT-5 from affecting the repeatability of the Z Homing. The switch mount is designed to be large enough to provide a stable platform, and protect the switch (you know how it feels when you stuff your arm in there!!). The insets for the 3mm nylock nuts and through holes for screws are generously sized in their tolerances, so you should have no issues printing this with a fresh FT-5 build (well, you shouldn't) and still be able to insert nuts, have holes line up. The switch mount is available in both left and right handed configurations so the connector faces rearward; pay attention to which part you're printing!! I used a 34mm screw to actuate the switch, longer screws would be even better, maybe 40mm. If you're planning on upgrading to E3D right away, let me know and I can modify the files for you. You can simply tap this hole or patiently screw into it; the nut is optional. The original files are completely unrestricted, so if you need some adjustments made to the posts, PM me and I can easily make changes for you. The post length required may vary from build to build depending on the actual length of your 20/20 extrusions, how tightly you get them together, and whether or not your Melamine parts match mine (IKR!!). The dual Z-axis mod is an excellent modification that's simple and well-documented, easily a top 4 "what should I modify first".
