This custom Direct Drive upgrade takes inspiration from E3D's latest model and incorporates key components directly from the FolgerTech extruder. To accommodate the increased height, it is essential to reposition the Z-endstop due to spatial constraints. An innovative solution provides a bracket that bolts into place beneath the Z-axis motor mount, cleverly using this existing feature to enhance stability. In addition to modifying the Z-axis setup, this upgrade requires attachment to the X-axis motor mount via a small adjustment screw.
