Rev17 Slider for M6 Wheel Screws As per a request, I added a slider to use M6 holes for the wheels instead of the M5 holes. The STL files & openscad files for those have M6_ as the prefix of the names. Rev23 Carriage I had to add more access room for Right Rod Locknut. Since I'm changing the original hotend to the e3d Lite6, I thought I'd change the carriage & sliders while I was at it. This is a remix of my previous remix. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1676013. More detailed info can be found on that link. The carriage design changed the top connection to use self-clamping of the belt. I added 2mm more space for the belt to clear the bottom clamped belt. The openscad file for the carriage has an option for the bottom hole pattern to have both holes or a Right or Left. I also chamfered the top edge of the carriage to clear the limit switch board. I printed 3 each of 1xsliderv2_Mod_Rev16.stl & 1xCarriage_Mod_M3_Left_Rev23.stl at 50% infill PETG. If you want to print all 3 at a time, use 3xsliderv2_Mod_Rev16.stl & 3xCarriage_Mod_M3_Left_Rev23.stl There's not that big of a change to slider other than giving the design a little more Z height. The 2-wheeled side of carriage is on the opposite side of original design so the limit switch board doesn't hit the top wheel mount. My height with the other design is 288mm. Should be 5 to 8mm higher with this design. Not that much height gain, but every little bit helps sometimes. The only change in hardware I made from my previous design was to shorten the micro-adjust bolt from 12mm to 10mm. The hardware I used was: Original 3x M5x25mm Countersunk screws for the Wheels M3x22mm cap screw for Wheel Tensioner instead of the original M3x20mm screws M3x10mm cap screw for the Micro adjust screw M3 Jamb Nut for Micro adjust & Wheel Tension screw Original 2x M3x20mm screws to mount top of carriage M3x12mm cap screw to mount bottom one side of carriage I also changed the effector design to convert to openscad & add a print fan & will upload that design after testing that one. I have not installed this new version yet, but seems like it should work. I will add photos after installing this. Without having to take the top 3 vertices off, this is the order in which I reinstalled these: Remove and Replace one carriage at a time. Removal Procedure Remove the 2 rods first. The captive nut design for this has access holes to the captive locknuts for the rods to insert an Allen wrench into to hold the locknut still in case it wants to rotate. Remove the wheel from the side with only one wheel. With the Slider/carriage removed, remove all other hardware from the old parts. Install Procedure After removing a carriage, bolt the Top wheel on first since part of that screw head is covered by carriage. Add 10mm micro-adjust limit screw & jam nut (8mm or 12mm will probably also work). Add 22mm wheel adjustment screw & jam nut. Bolt Top of carriage down to slider with 2x M3x20mm screws & locknuts at the top. Bolt Bottom of carriage on side of vertical 2020 & add other wheel. Adjust the 22mm wheel screw for proper tension before installing rods. Install the 2 rods. There is an access hole at the top for each captive locknut to insert an Allen wrench to push against the side of the locknut if it turns on you while installing a rod. I did not need it though. I would wait until all three slider/carriages are installed before clamping the bottom of the 3 belts. The 2nd thru the 6th photo show the order in which I installed these on my machine.
