Folger Tech Kossel 2020 Filament Holder

This is a replacement filament holder designed for the Folger Tech Kossel 2020 printer. The stock holder, made of acrylic, has a drawback - it causes plastic to scrape and the rolling movement is not as smooth as possible. To overcome this issue, a circular top is used in this design, allowing the spool to roll freely without requiring bearings or other complicated components. Initially, the screw holes came out too tight for my printer, so I had to use a drill to adjust them to the correct size. Using the same t-nuts as those in the stock holder, but with longer screws, has significantly improved the performance of this replacement filament holder. Now, the spool rolls smoothly and continuously as the filament is fed into the printer, eliminating the problem of feeding in spurts.
