Folger Tech FT-5 FT-25 Control Panel Cover for 2004 LCD w/ 60 degree viewing angle
thingiverse
I designed this replacement control panel cover for the original melamine FT-25 control panel, giving it a 60-degree viewing angle and a compact kill switch to stop printing quickly. I successfully fitted the stock 2004 LCD panel into this design after testing it. To ensure a tight fit, you may need to carefully clean out the nob and kill switch holes with a small blade or deburring tool. Inserting the SD card is straightforward through its dedicated slot, while pulling it out requires placing your thumb on top of the card and using your index finger to pin the card between both fingers before pulling it out. Print Settings: * Printer: Original Prusa I3 MK2 * Rafts: No * Supports: No * Resolution: 200 Microns * Infill: 30% * Notes: This was printed with a 20mm brim to prevent warping during the printing process. Post-Printing: Tight Tolerances Require Attention: To achieve smooth operation of the parts, you'll need to perform some minor cleanup in the nob and kill switch holes using a small blade or deburring tool. The goal is to allow for free movement without any sloppiness. How I Designed This Replacement Panel: I used Autodesk Fusion 360 to create this design, which has proven to be effective in replicating the original control panel cover with minor modifications.
