When moving my filament roll from its side perch on the Folger Tech 2020 printer to the back using a DIY PVC tubing holder, I decided to address a major annoyance: filament consistently rubbing against my LCD panel and wiring. To fix this issue, I came up with a simple solution - a custom standoff that I built in just minutes. This new component has two tabs that easily snap into the recess of the 2020 extruded frame, providing excellent support while holding it securely in place thanks to one robust 4 mm screw and swivel nut combination. As for stability, don't even get me started - this setup is ultra-stable and surprisingly stiff despite its minimal size. After adding it, printing just became an enjoyable experience with a clear, crisp image that accurately reflects every tiny detail.
