Needed a compact version of thinkyhead's X tensioner to accommodate my X axis stepper motor and print head. The previous design on the opposite side restricted build size and failed after five prints. Assemble with two extended M3 screws, one M3 nut (to secure/clamp together), and two F623Z bearings (two 623ZZ bearings will also work). Here is the revised design. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Folger Tech i3 2020 Alum Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: None Notes: Build with 100% infill. Add an 8 mm skirt around to help hold to the bed (thin vertical walls, so this helps a lot). Using Hatchbox 1.75 mm PLA, bed temperature at 70C for the first layer, then at 60C for remaining layers. Extruder head at 215C for the first layer, then at 200C for remaining layers. 3M Blue Painters tape on borosilicate glass Post-Printing How I Designed This I modified the original design and enlarged the round pockets for the rod to avoid excessive tension at the top (where the original design broke). I reduced the size from 13 mm to 10 mm and resized to fit two F623Z bearings instead of one (two 623ZZ bearings will also work).
