Folding Utility Knife

Folding Utility Knife

thingiverse

A versatile folding utility knife designed for everyday use. Great craftsmanship by PvtDBJackson, who omitted the clip and adjusted some dimensions to minimize post-print cleanup. The print settings were optimized for 100% speed at 50% infill, resulting in a print time of 1 hour and 24 minutes. Reducing the print time will create a tighter fit, while increasing it will provide more clearance. To remove large yellow supports, use a small screwdriver. Smaller supports can be removed with a rotary tool and cutoff wheel. Use a utility knife to break loose adjoining surfaces by running it around them. Twisting the build slightly will also help. Work the latch until it opens freely with a crisp snap when fully extended. Insert the blade and secure it with 3x4mm cap screws on one side and 3x7mm screws on the other. Smooth out edges with a file and emery cloth. This design is intended for right-handed individuals; mirror-imaging it will create a left-handed version. Be cautious not to cut yourself during cleanup. For complete instructions, visit: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1298487
