Folding tripod
thingiverse
This DIY tripod is an exact replica of one my friend has in his possession.\nThe original was noticeably smaller and constructed using steel pipes.\nMy creation utilizes standard aluminum pipes sourced from a local hardware store.\nThe components include: \n1 pc of 10mm diameter aluminum pipe, measuring 100 cm in length (cut into 3 equal segments) and\n1 pc of 20 mm diameter aluminum pipe, approximately 45 cm long. This DIY tripod is designed for folding and has an incredibly lightweight structure. **Assembly Instructions** To assemble this DIY tripod, you will need to print one top part, one bottom part, and six tripods' beams.\nNext, take a single 10mm diameter aluminum pipe (100 cm in length) and divide it into three equal pieces (approximately 33 cm each).\nNow, carefully drill a 5mm diameter hole at one end of each piece, with the center of the hole precisely 5mm from the end. Move to the other end of each piece, then drill a 4mm diameter hole approximately 95mm from the other end.\nBoth holes (5mm dia and 4mm dia) must be parallel to ensure smooth assembly.
