Folding Quad with Removable Gimbal Mount

Folding Quad with Removable Gimbal Mount

This project was tailored for smaller 3D printers exclusively. I created all the parts on my own 6x6 Printrbot Simple Metal. Just a few more components are needed: eight M4 screws for the folding arms and eight M3 screws for the frame. The rest of the assembly is secured without any additional hardware. To keep things simple, the frame was designed to accommodate two 12-inch booms that are half an inch thick. This setup enables perfect arm folding, and when unfolded, it forms a symmetrical quad, making tuning easy as pie. The gimbal Mount and GoPro case can be found online; they feature quick release functionality and require no hardware to mount.
