The "Tableau pliant / Étagère d'appoint" is a folding system that allows for various structures, from small shelves to large bookcases. The design optimizes surface area to minimize waste and functions as a shelve when folded and as a poster/painting when flat (ideal for moving). A grid-unit system allows scaling for different sizes, while adjusting notches based on material thickness is essential. Since 2007, the design has proven durable. It's laser-cuttable based on a grid system or can be made by hand. First models were made by hand, taking slightly longer but yielding similar results. The process involves scaling/tracing the grid on the material and carefully cutting lines and folding lines. Remember, empty shelves naturally attract things! Files are named based on number of tabs, dimension of grid, and scale in mm.
