Folding Polyhedra
thingiverse
You're looking for a regular convex polyhedron? Look no further - I've got all five of them right here. It seems like there should be more than just these, but that's not how it is. Want to print one flat and fold it up into a 3D shape that holds together without glue? I've got you covered. Tetrahedron: Not the best choice for dice - there isn't even a single face pointing upwards. https://youtu.be/lbx2IfQfiyM Hexahedron: https://youtu.be/_x2d-hVTUxM Octahedron: https://youtu.be/Gt0U-Zy1M78 Dodecahedron: https://youtu.be/SNv79Vs9OO8 Icosahedron: https://youtu.be/dGDUkSCX0YM This worked great with my 0.6mm nozzle and 0.3mm layers. If you're using a 0.4mm nozzle, scale it down by one-third and use 0.2mm layers so the hinge works correctly.
