Folding Pocket Tablet/Phone Stand

Folding Pocket Tablet/Phone Stand

thingiverse

This is a portable Tablet/Phone stand that can be easily carried in one's pocket when folded up flat. Regardless of how it's unfolded, both the top and bottom sections remain perfectly symmetrical. It's actually an improved version of my old design, which was previously not published due to various issues. In order for this new design to function properly, each part must be rotated 90 degrees, although I could really use help with figuring out how to stop Autodesk Inventor from consistently outputting files that are laid out sideways. For detailed instructions on how to assemble the stand and additional information, please see below: Number of parts needed: * Frame: one piece * Arm: two pieces * Backplate: one piece * Clip: one piece * Pegs: six (optional) The supplied pegs should be used for assembling the stand, but they're a bit fragile, so they can also be substituted with 1/2 inch long by 1/8 inch diameter machine screws if desired. It's recommended to print this design at a layer thickness of 0.20mm with touching bed support, as the thin parts of the clip and frame are slightly smaller than the flat surfaces. I recently tested this design using my Nexus 7, but unfortunately it didn't quite work as well as I had hoped. When I get some free time, I plan on making further updates to this design.
