Folding phone stand
thingiverse
A sleek and compact folding phone stand design inspired by several models on Thingiverse, including https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:608339. As a heavy user, I needed a stand that could withstand my 200+ pound frame. This design is significantly sturdier than others due to its beefy build. The stand allows the phone to be placed at a comfortable height, accommodating most charge cables with adapters. It also functions without deploying the flip-down hooks, making it ideal for landscape mode placement. Two adjustable angles are possible: approximately 50 degrees and 40 degrees. This design works well with my Pixel 3, which has a case, but it also fits the iPhone 8 plus with a case. Printing notes: 1. I've included the slicer layout and settings in one of the photos for your reference. 2. I printed this model with support touching the build plate only. 3. The pins should be printed flat to ensure maximum strength. 4. The filenames indicate how many parts you'll need to print. Construction notes: 1. Depending on your printer's performance, you may need to drill out the holes where the pins go in the flat orientation. 2. I didn't require glue for the pins, but you might find it necessary. Note that the unglued holes are slightly larger, allowing for free movement of the parts.
