Folding Flat Lack

Folding Flat Lack

We have a few Lacks, and are constantly setting them up and then back away. Rather than unscrewing the legs each time, this allows them to fold flat.

This prints in place, no supports needed. I've printed in PETG and it works - it is squeaky tight though. 0.2mm layer height with 0.4 nozzle on a Prusa MK3s.

There are two versions - one with a ‘locking’ catch which is intended to stop the legs flapping about when folded, and one with just the hinge. The locking version does work - but either way the fit is too tight to flop about anyway, and if you forget to release the catch it quickly snaps off. I don't think it's worth the hassle, but had already modelled it up. Figured I'd leave it up to the makers to decide which one they prefer. :)

Note - if printing the ‘with catch’ version, make sure you hold the catch open while you try to free the hinge for the first time!!!
