Folding Cube
thingiverse
Experience a fun DIY project with this self-folding toy inspired by paper marketing cubes! It's made up of four different pieces, each requiring two copies for eight pieces in total. Snap them together, though be prepared for some puzzle-like assembly challenges. If using Ditto printing with the Sailfish firmware on your Rep Dual printer, save time by printing all eight pieces simultaneously. However, regular plate printing allows for two copies per piece. Be mindful of the 45-degree rule as corners may curl; PLA prints can benefit from an extra fan to aid in cooling. Check out this animation in OpenSCAD for a sneak peek at its movement!
