This item serves as a foldable clothesline toy for 18-inch dolls. In fact, it is likely sturdy enough to function as a genuine collapsible clothesline if one uses longer sticks. To build this thing, you'll need to make some of its parts out of wood. Here's a list of what you require: Base Cut an 8-inch square from 3/4-inch plywood and drill a 1/2-inch hole in the center. This base needs to be heavy enough to prevent the whole thing from tipping over. Post This is an 18-inch piece of 1/2-inch wooden dowel. Ribs and Stretchers These are made of 3/8-inch wooden dowel, with dimensions noted in the PDF file that accompanies the rest of the thing's files. Pins Use a heavy trimmer line for the pins, or a thin piece of wooden dowel. The holes in the printouts are 1/8 inch, but I drilled mine out to fit the Stihl 0.13-inch nylon trimmer line. Line I used leftover cord from a window blind kit, but you can use almost anything provided it's strong enough. Most yarn is probably too weak. To install the line, thread it through the inner holes first and then run it through the outer holes. This eliminates the need to adjust the length of each line since there is only one line. Super glue the ends of the line to prevent fraying. Assembly View the video before gluing the ribs to the hinges, and follow the video's instructions for assembling the entire thing. It's a good idea to pin everything up before you start gluing. You can adjust the length of the ribs and the pole as needed. I used super glue to permanently secure all the pins and hinges.
