Folding camping table clips
thingiverse
Replacement clips for our aluminum collapsible camping table are now a reality. I had only one left that I could take dimensions from, but these new ones seem to work extremely well so far. Used Fusion 360 (Thanks to Lars for the YouTube tutorials) to create the perfect design. I chose PLA 100% infill and used support from the bed only to ensure a sturdy structure. The four end clips have "locating pegs" in them, which our alloy poles were drilled to accept. The mid clips are identical but don't have the locating pegs. They feel sturdy enough for the job while providing nice warmth indoors. I've printed a few more and placed them in the bag where the table lives as spares, since I'm not yet sure how well PLA handles being outdoors in our typical UK damp, cold, and occasionally warm climate. I also printed them in fluorescent orange, hoping it will save us from losing them like we did with the original matte black ones that came with the table. Happy camping!
