Folding Campaign Desk

I built this model of an army campaign table for a friend of mine. It has the same dimensions and folding mechanics as the original, but I had to think outside the box since I didn't have access to the special hardware on my own table. I made my copy out of cypress wood. The hinges are from a box store, but I treated them with muriatic acid to remove any galvanization and then painted them flat black using grill paint. This project was a fun and rewarding weekend activity.
