Folding Camp Chair Base
thingiverse
I've got one of those flimsy folding camp chairs, you know, the ones that might break at any moment. The leg base on mine snapped clean in half - what a perfect opportunity for some 3D printing magic! Designed with Autodesk Fusion 360, I'm excited to share my print settings: * Printer: CocoonCreate * Rafts: Not required * Supports: None needed * Resolution: Between 0.2 and 0.4 mm * Infill: A solid 40-50% fill density will do the trick Some notes to keep in mind: I used a 5mm hole size, which allowed me to pass a 3/16 UNC bolt through without any issues. To prevent it from coming loose over time, I opted for a nyloc nut. If you plan to use this base as a rear leg, be aware that the hole for passing a screw through isn't included and will need to be drilled - different chairs have their own screw hole locations. These bases are designed specifically for chairs with 5/8" or 16mm tube frames.
