Folded Wetsuit Hanger
prusaprinters

Hanging wetsuits on a traditional clothes hanger is a good way to wear out the shoulders, especially if you hang them up wet and heavy.

This is a design to hang a wetsuit folded over in half at the torso, where it's much stronger.

Assembled with 1/2" EMT conduit. The hook, printed on its side with an overhang, will be a tight press-fit on the conduit. I needed a rubber mallet to get them together. The coupler piece, printed on its end, is much more accurate and looser even with the .1mm clearance I gave it. I used a couple layers of kapton tape on the conduit to get a press fit.

My lower conduit is 18" and upper is 12.25". Feel free to shorten those if you like.

I printed mine out of CF nylon, and then galaxy black PLA when I realized the design is already way overkill structurally anyway, and the choice of filament I don't think is critical at all.

I suggest you print the coupler a few mm, cancel, and test-fit. Then you can adjust the tolerance in the source file accordingly depending on how accurate your printer is, since it's supposed to be a press-fit. The hook will be tight no matter what, due to the overhang and bridging on the inside of the hole.
