Folded Paper Towel Box
thingiverse
Paper towel rolls are nowhere to be found on store shelves, but Amazon has come up with an innovative solution - folded paper towels in stock. The kind commercial businesses typically use, they're available now. However, there's a catch: the loose sheets require a holder to keep them organized. A simple yet brilliant idea was born: design and print a custom holder to meet this pressing need! This clever holder is designed as an open-top box that can accommodate an entire sleeve of paper towels, making it effortless to grab one sheet at a time from the top. The tall print ensures all sheets are stored neatly within the container, eliminating the clutter caused by loose paper towels. A convenient cutout on the side allows users to easily monitor their remaining supply and access them as needed. The outer dimensions of this holder measure 240mm by 85mm, while the inner dimension is 236 mm by 81 mm - perfectly accommodating the folded paper towel sleeves. This large-print design should pose no challenge for printers with a spacious bed. To achieve optimal results, ensure your slicer settings are accurate to print sturdy walls that form shells, allowing for fast and efficient printing. For my printer, this project required approximately 300g of filament. Given the affordable PLA used, the total cost came out to be around $7 - an astonishing bargain compared to similar products I found online, which range from $20 to $50.
