Foldable Outlet Phone Charging Station

Foldable Outlet Phone Charging Station

cults3d

This is a compact charging station for foldable phones that securely attaches to an electrical outlet using a screw. The detachable tray and wire organizer spring out to cradle your phone while it charges, then neatly retract when not needed. Its sleek design makes it ideal for use in small spaces. To print this innovative charger, you'll need good bridging capabilities, as supports are not required. However, a longer #8 screw will be necessary for installation. This design draws inspiration from Anthony Smith's concept, but has been reworked to minimize material usage and combine multiple parts into one single unit, making it foldable and space-efficient. The tapered hinge design is based on J-Max's work in this instructable. SolidWorks was used to create the design and model. The charger was printed with a 0.2 mm layer height using PLA filament at 30% infill.
