Foldable Handle (Print and Play) For Lab ATX Power SupplySkeleton Case
thingiverse
I was thoroughly impressed by james_III's design, specifically the Lab ATX Power Supply Skeleton Case. However, one detail kept bothering me - the handle. So I decided to take matters into my own hands and fired up my brand new freecad 0.17RC (time to start learning the new part design next workbench). And here are the results! The handle is designed to be printed on the side without any support, using a print resolution of 0.2mm and 20% fill. Once it's popped up from the bed, simply screw it into place and you're good to go. I've also attached the freecad file so that others can have fun with it. I'd like to extend special thanks to MasterG403 for providing the result picture and test results. P.S. Note that since the pivot is a ~1 cm bridge, the hinge may feel a bit stiff at first, but it will settle into place over time.
