Fold-up dial indicator
thingiverse
((UPDATE! All set now, ready for testing!)) UPDATE! The uploaded .x3g file worked great, minor adjustments only needed, actually filled some gaps nicely. (pic included) Fits the rods a bit snug but still functional... Also made it easy to fit through rod spaces without needing magnets. CONCEPT IS ON THE RIGHT TRACK! Although tested and proved useful, does create some slight corners & measurements need to be fine-tuned. I did print this one out at .2mm layer thickness by the way. Also printed another holder, for indicators requiring magnets. **Easy Assembly** The finished project is broken down into 3 distinct parts that all fit together smoothly. There's a good chance they'll require some light sanding beforehand to make it look sleek. You should be able to get started with this simple guide: 1) Join the main components. 2) Slide the metal rod in place and give it a slight bend. 3) Place into existing rod slots & push down once again to fully assemble Insert the 9.5mm diameter indicator through now.
