Fold-Out Desk Organizer

The desk organizer I created would be ideal for at home learners. Having a fold out backing to hold up textbooks or papers, it keeps a desktop from becoming cluttered and overwhelmed. Having this feature fold out allows for the device to be stored quite efficiently in order to not take up much space while not in use. There is also a slot to hold and charge a phone to maximize productivity. Some issues I came across was not properly formatting the parts and having to go through and adjust the sizing afterwards. Some other issues were just getting the constraints correct with joining all of the arms and pegs, I had to make multiple adjustments throughout. If I could redesign this desktop organizer, I think I would make the base shaped a bit different so it wouldn't be as boxy. I wanted the design to be compact and I think the base restricts that aspect a bit. 3D printing would help strengthen my design because it would put the idea into use and would be able to see and test whether the design is sustainable and its durability. It would allow me to prototype and make adjustments to the final product.
