This almost new, 2016-rebuilt Fokker F-27 Friendship model boasts enhanced geometry, textures, and features. The near-scale replica includes detailed external elements based on available drawings. Animated features include ailerons, flaps, elevators, rudder, propellers, landing gear, and doors. Numerous file formats are provided, such as 3ds, obj, lwo, asc, dwg, dxf, u3d, and more. Introduced in 1950 by Fokker, the F-27 is a twin-engine turbo-prop commercial passenger aircraft that flew its maiden voyage in November 1955. Due to tail heaviness, modifications included a fuselage extension and additional seating capacity. From 1958 to 1987, over 900 Fokker F-27s were produced, with Fairchild Hiller manufacturing an extended version called the FH-227 under license. Many of these aircraft later served as cargo or express package planes for FedEx, though all were retired by the end of 2009. The original F-27 inspired subsequent designs like the Fairchild Hiller 227 and Fokker F-50/F-60 series.
