Introducing an almost new, 2016-rebuilt Fokker F-27 Friendship model with enhanced geometry, textures, and features. Near to scale and highly detailed based on available drawings, this model comes with animatable elements like ailerons, flaps, and landing gear. Available in multiple formats, the F-27 is a twin-engine turbo-prop commercial airliner designed by Fokker in 1950 and first flew in November 1955. Over 500 were built by Fokker, and another 400+ under license by Fairchild Hiller, including the stretched FH-227. After serving as passenger airliners, many converted to cargo service for FedEx before being retired by 2009. The F-27 led to the development of the FH-227 and inspired Fokker's later F-50 and F-60 designs.
