This nearly new Fokker F-27 Friendship model, rebuilt in 2016, boasts enhanced geometry, fresh textures, and additional features. Constructed almost to scale with meticulous attention to detail based on available drawings, it arrives with various format files including 3ds, obj, lwo, asc, dwg, dxf, u3d, and more. Animateable parts include ailerons, flaps, elevators, rudder, propellers, landing gear, and landing gear doors. The Fokker F-27 is a twin-turbo-prop commercial passenger airliner that first took flight in 1955. Designed by Fokker, this tail-heavy aircraft required modifications, which led to a fuselage stretch and an increase of seating capacity. Produced from 1958 to 1987, over 900 were manufactured by both Fokker and Fairchild Hiller under license. Following their service as passenger planes, many F-27s were converted into cargo/express package aircraft for FedEx. However, all were retired by the end of 2009; only a few remain operational today. The F-27's legacy includes the Fairchild Hiller 227, a stretched version, and further developments such as the Fokker F-50 and F-60.
