Experience an almost new Fokker F-27 Friendship model, entirely revamped in 2016 with enhanced geometry, fresh textures, and new features. The Fokker F-27 is a twin-engine turbo-prop commercial passenger aircraft designed by Fokker in 1950, with its inaugural flight occurring in November 1955 under the control of Hugo Burgerhout. Due to its tail-heavy design, modifications like a 3-foot fuselage stretch ahead of the CG were made, adding three additional seats. Manufactured from 1958 until 1987, Fokker produced over 500 F-27s, with Fairchild Hiller in the US building an additional 400+ under license, including a stretched version called the FH-227. Following their service as passenger planes, many were converted to cargo/express package services, predominantly flown by FEDEX until their retirement at the end of 2009. Today, only a few remain in operation. The F-27 led to the development of the Fairchild Hiller 227, a stretched version, and further design advancements included the Fokker F-50 and F-60s, which were all derived from the original F-27 model.
