This almost new model of the Fokker F-27 Friendship was meticulously rebuilt in 2016, with enhanced geometry, fresh textures, and additional features. The aircraft is near to scale and boasts intricate detailing based on available drawings. It includes animatable functions such as ailerons, flaps, elevators, rudder, propellers, landing gear, and landing gear doors. Formats like 3ds, obj, lwo, asc, dwg, dxf, u3d, and obj are all provided in the package. The Fokker F-27 is a twin-engine turbo-prop commercial passenger aircraft designed by Fokker in 1950. After its maiden flight in November 1955, it underwent modifications due to tail heaviness and received a fuselage stretch of 3 feet to adjust the center of gravity. Production began in 1958, continued until 1987, and resulted in over 900 aircraft built by Fokker and Fairchild Hiller under license. Many were repurposed as cargo planes, with FEDEX being a notable user, though all were retired by the end of 2009. The success of the F-27 led to the development of the stretched Fairchild Hiller 227 and further design evolutions like the Fokker F-50 and F-60.
