The F-27 is a twin-engine turbo-prop commercial passenger airliner designed by Fokker in 1950, with its maiden flight in 1955. Over 900 were produced until 1987, serving as passenger planes and later being converted to cargo use for FedEx. The F-27 led to the development of the Fairchild Hiller 227 and other Fokker models like the F-50 and F-60.
