Experience near-new Fokker F-27 Friendship model, meticulously rebuilt in 2016 with enhanced geometry, textures, and features. The aircraft is built nearly to scale with intricate details based on available drawings. Animateable parts include ailerons, flaps, elevators, rudder, propellers, landing gear, and landing gear doors. Various file formats such as 3DS, OBJ, LWO, ASC, DWG, DXF, U3D, and OBJ are included. The Fokker F-27 is a twin-engine turboprop commercial airliner created by Fokker in 1950, with its maiden flight conducted in November 1955 by Hugo Burgerhout. The initial design was tail-heavy, necessitating modifications and an extension of the fuselage to resolve the issue. Manufactured from 1958 to 1987, over 900 Fokker F-27s were produced, with Fairchild Hiller building another 400 under license. After serving as passenger aircraft, many were converted for cargo/express package services, primarily by FEDEX. However, all such conversions had been retired by the end of 2009, leaving very few in service today. The Fokker F-27 gave rise to the Fairchild Hiller 227, a stretched version, while the Fokker F-50 and F-60 were further developments of this aircraft.
