This nearly new Fokker F-27 Friendship model was rebuilt in 2016 with enhanced geometry, fresh textures, and additional features. It boasts near-scale dimensions (within a couple of percent) and intricate exterior detailing based on available drawings. The model comes fully textured with materials for the depicted livery and offers animateable features like ailerons, flaps, elevators, rudder, propellers, landing gear, and landing gear doors. It is accessible in various formats such as 3ds, obj, lwo, asc, dwg, dxf, u3d, and obj. The Fokker F-27 is a twin-engine turbo-prop commercial passenger aircraft developed by Fokker in 1950 and first flown in November 1955. Due to tail heaviness, it required modification and a 3-foot fuselage extension was added. Manufactured from 1958 to 1987, over 500 were built by Fokker, while another 400 plus were produced under license by Fairchild Hiller in the US as the FH-227. Many were later converted to cargo/express package service, primarily for FedEx, but all were retired by the end of 2009. The F-27 led to the development of the Fairchild Hiller 227 and further design developments included the Fokker F-50 and F-60.
